to see his wife, Al (name changed to protect privacy) had shared a heartfelt story with staff.
He and his wife had planned a trip to Hawaii, one they had been discussing for years. Not long before the trip was scheduled to happen, Al's wife had fallen ill and was no longer able to travel without nursing care.
Recently, Al's own health had started to decline.
Now both residing at Country Manor, staff
grew increasingly moved by the obvious the love shared between the two. Staff contacted The Country Manor Foundation and shared the story.
The Country Manor Foundation hosted a romantic island-themed evening, exclusively for the couple. The night involved a private performance by a steel guitar and drum band, specially prepared Hawaiian cuisine served restaurant-style,
and decorations that truly made the space
feel like it was stationed on the exotic beaches of Hawaii.
