MOMENTS & MEMORIES

The summer of 2018 was an exciting time for us as we launched a brand new program! The new program focuses entirely on creating moments and memories for Angel Arms patients and their families.

With the help of funds raised at the Hometown Classic event, we will be granting wishes - large and small - for patients who are receiving End of Life Care.

Hawaiian Date Night

The Country Manor Foundation brought to life a special date night for a couple we care for - a date night that had been almost 30 years in the making.

Earlier this summer, during one of his regular visits to see his wife, Al (name changed to protect privacy) had shared a heartfelt story with staff.

He and his wife had planned a trip to Hawaii, one they had been discussing for years. Not long before the trip was scheduled to happen, Al's wife had fallen ill and was no longer able to travel without nursing care.
Recently, Al's own health had started to decline.

Now both residing at Country Manor, staff grew increasingly moved by the obvious the love shared between the two. Staff contacted The Country Manor Foundation and shared the story.

The Country Manor Foundation hosted a romantic island-themed evening, exclusively for the couple. The night involved a private performance by a steel guitar and drum band, specially prepared Hawaiian cuisine served restaurant-style, and decorations that truly made the space feel like it was stationed on the exotic beaches of Hawaii.
Our Angel Arms (End of Life) program is currently looking for moments like these that we can bring to life for the people and families we serve. If you have ideas that we may be able to help with, please contact us directly.
